This week had it all: visitation finally turned a corner, gaming win hit its 60th straight billion-dollar month, and Caesars dropped a summer package that might actually be worth the math. Here's the player-first breakdown of what actually happened.

Visitation Grew for the First Time in Over a Year
After 13 consecutive months of year-over-year declines, the LVCVA reported 3.0M visitors in February — up 2.1%. Hotel occupancy came in at 81.7% (+1.2 pts) and ADR rose to $193.23 (+3.8%). Both moving up together means revenue per room is still growing even before air traffic normalizes.
The driver? Southern California drive traffic and convention business held the month together. The bigger question now is whether this holds into March and April as pool season, concerts, and major meetings stack up.
Harry Reid Airport Is Still the Weak Spot
February passenger traffic came in at 3.88M — down 3.3% YoY. Domestic fell 2.8%, international dropped 10.9%, and the airport is now down 5.7% year-to-date.
The story is clear: people are still coming to Vegas, but mostly by car. That shift changes the entertainment and gambling mix — drive-market visitors tend to skew toward value properties, locals joints, and shorter stays. The high-ADR weekend and casino drop premium that international travelers generate is still missing.
Super Bowl LXIII Returns to Las Vegas in 2029
NFL owners unanimously approved Allegiant Stadium to host the 2029 Super Bowl — building on the 2024 edition that drew 330K visitors and generated an estimated ~$1B in economic impact.
Vegas has now hosted the NFL Draft (2022), Pro Bowl (2023), Super Bowl (2024), and locked in Super Bowl (2029). Operators now have three years to plan capital, staffing, and sponsorship cycles around another mega anchor.
