DESERT DEGENS WEEKLY PODCAST BRIEF • APRIL 1, 2026
TL;DR (60-Second Version)
MGM launched an all-inclusive package at Luxor + Excalibur from $330 + tax for 2 nights/2 guests — their direct answer to the "Vegas is too expensive" narrative.
Resorts World is running $450–$650/night mid-week to weekend, with Club 66 add-ons at $75 — a very different value positioning.
WrestleMania is April 18–19 in Las Vegas — expect hotel compression, nightlife lift, and real casino spillover demand.
Orleans hit a ~$100K Keno jackpot — 8-spot hit on low-denomination play. Small stake, massive upside.
IGT cut ~700 jobs post-merger — worth watching for downstream effects on slot product and support.
Luke Combs set a Nevada indoor attendance record at Allegiant — mega-events are still drawing enormous crowds.

MGM's All-Inclusive: The Value Play You Should Know About
The biggest story this week for the value-minded Vegas traveler is MGM's new all-inclusive package launching at Luxor and Excalibur. The entry point is $330 + tax for 2 nights / 2 guests, bundling room, meals, show, and parking — with resort fees baked in.
This is MGM directly addressing the "Vegas has gotten too expensive" perception. Whether it holds up to scrutiny depends on your travel style, but as a bundled entry-value pitch, it's one of the cleaner offers we've seen from a major Strip operator in a while.
For comparison, a real booking check on Resorts World showed roughly $450/night mid-week and $650/night on weekends, with a Club 66 add-on at $75 available in the booking flow.
The contrast is clear: MGM is leading with bundled entry-value; Resorts World is leaning into a premium room product with optional upgrades. Neither is wrong — they're just targeting different travelers.
WrestleMania Week Is Almost Here
Dates are locked: April 18–19, 2026 in Las Vegas. If you're planning a trip anywhere near those dates, expect hotel compression across the board, elevated nightlife and F&B demand, and real casino spillover traffic. Plan accordingly — or lean into it.
