A $50 Dragon Link Spin Becomes More Than $5 Million

Over at Fontainebleau, another $50 spin produced a seven-figure payout.
A Nevada man hit the Grand Bonus on Monopoly Big Board Bucks on October 9, winning $1,008,719 after roughly 20 minutes of play.
That’s more than 20,000 times the triggering wager. The game is part of Fontainebleau’s expanded high-limit slot lineup, which includes several machines with million-dollar top prizes.
Two enormous payouts, both on $50 spins — memorable wins, even in a city that sees jackpots every day.
MGM & Wynn Hit 52-Week Lows
The casino floors had their winners. Wall Street had a tougher week.
On October 23, Wynn shares touched roughly $73, while MGM finished around $28, with both reaching 52-week lows.
For MGM, the comparison is striking: People Inc. offered $48.30 a share in June before later withdrawing its proposal. MGM’s October 23 closing price was roughly 42% below that offer.
Softer tourism and broader economic concerns are weighing on the sector. The falling share prices show investors remain uneasy about what comes next, even as the resorts continue generating revenue.
