Clark County approved a plan for a 29-story, 752-room heart-shaped hotel-casino near the old SkyVue Ferris wheel site across from Mandalay Bay.

The proposal includes a full-height LED display, convention space, gaming, restaurants, and even a suspended restaurant built into the old abandoned SkyVue towers.

It is exactly the kind of wild Vegas rendering people love to talk about. The big question is whether it actually gets built — or joins the long list of Vegas dream projects that never break ground.

Caesars Sportsbook officially took over the legendary Westgate SuperBook, adding Caesars tech, more betting options, kiosks, and mobile registration while keeping the SuperContest.

June gaming numbers showed downtown and locals markets still outperforming the Strip, even as statewide casino win stayed roughly flat.

Golden Nugget also opened a newly relocated poker room, making it the only active poker room downtown.

And Luxor is testing color changes for its famous Sky Beam for the first time in 33 years.
